A Black Woman's Weight Loss Adventure
"Chubz to Fit" is the expression that I use to describe my weight loss journey from chubby to fit and healthy. It is what other people call the "Fat to Fit" transformation. For me I like to think myself as "chubby" not Fat. And No I am not in denial girl ! (Don't judge Lol)
Although, I am just now beginning my Chubs-to Fit journey, it is not the first time that I have attempted to go on a diet and lose weight. I mean what haven't I try ?! I tried juicing, low-carb diet, protein only diet, and I would hit the gym on and off again and again.
I cannot count the amount of times that I have tried and tried but failed. I started to feel discouraged and powerless when it came to managing my weight. But then I had an awakening moment as I was listening to my daily motivational podcast.
I realized I haven't been successful at loosing this extra weight because of my lack of discipline and consistency. I get so caught with wanting to see immediate results and when I don't notice that change that envisioned, then I go back to my old bad eating habits, and non-active life.
Now, I am more than determined. I am planning and being strategic about this fitness goal of mine. I will be documenting everything that I do for my chubz to fit journey. YES, I am keeping an open diary during this adventure, You will see my meals, workout consistency and plan, emotions, before and after pictures, even my ups and downs during these promising months. Bottom line is, I'm keeping it 1000% REAL with you. It's not always easy but we will get there.

I'm Ms. Golden SoSoMy name is Soso, others know me as Ms. Golden SoSo from YouTube. I am a young Black Woman who is on pursuit of a healthier lifestyle for herself and her well-being. This year when I decided to lose weight, I promised myself to release all my insecurities and bad self-image that I had about my body. The name "Chubz-To-Fit" came from the fat that I consider myself chubby; Not Fat!
And since I am on my way to becoming fit, I thought of the expression "Chubz To Fit" instead of "Fat To Fit". While others think of their fitness transformation as a battle, I like to think of mine as a healing adventure. Because it will be a mental and emotional healing just as much as it will be a physical one. So I am taking you with me on this promising adventure. You can expect me to be totally transparent about my Ups and downs; fears, achievements, progress, until I reach my weight loss goal (losing 75 lbs /34 kg). |
